MONOGRAPH 03 // SPATIAL SCENOGRAPHY & ARCHITECTURAL ARCHIVE
NordicPavilion—TimberAcoustics&BiennaleWayfinding
Parametric Douglas Fir glulam architecture paired with a spatial sonic archive for the Venice Biennale.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY // GIARDINI DELLA BIENNALE
Commissioned for the Venice Architecture Biennale, Lumina collaborated with Scandinavian timber engineers to craft both the physical brass wayfinding system and the interactive acoustic digital monograph. Every timber rib was acoustically tuned to resonate with ambient lagoon wind frequencies.

01 // THE CONVICTION
“Architecture is not static shelter; it is an acoustic instrument played by light, wind, and footsteps.”
BRIDGING PHYSICAL PAVILION & DIGITAL ARCHIVE
Visitors in Venice used NFC-embedded brass plaques to pull live structural telemetry onto their phones, while remote researchers explored a 1:1 orthographic CAD twin streaming live lagoon acoustics.
