Sensory analysis of 350gsm uncoated cotton rag stock vs. synthetic laminates across physical and digital brand touchpoints.

01 // THE FIRST 400 MILLISECONDS OF TOUCH

Human fingertips detect luxury before the eye finishes reading a logotype. Plastic-laminated greyboard draws heat rapidly away from the skin, feeling synthetically cold, whereas 100% long-fiber cotton rag insulates and warms instantaneously.

“Fingertips judge the authenticity of a maison within 400 milliseconds of touching the box—long before the ribbon is untied.”

02 // BLIND DEBOSSING & BRASS DIES

Using CNC-milled brass dies heated to 115°C, we compress 350gsm G.F Smith Colorplan fibers to a depth of 0.45mm—creating crisp shadow valleys that catch raking light without a single drop of ink.

03 // UNBOXING KINEMATICS & AIR DAMPING

A telescope rigid box should descend in exactly 3.2 seconds when lifted. We machine internal tolerances to ±0.15mm so escaping air creates a quiet, pneumatic sigh.

04 // ZERO-PLASTIC ARCHIVAL PERMANENCE

True luxury packaging is never discarded. By eliminating foam inserts in favor of molded cotton pulp, every box becomes a permanent desktop object.
